Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Falkner Systems (“we”, “us”), which operates CaprinaeVUE. By creating an account or using CaprinaeVUE you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What CaprinaeVUE is

CaprinaeVUE is web-based software for keeping goat herd records: animals, health, breeding, kidding, milk production, tasks, and documents. It is a record-keeping tool. It is not veterinary advice, and nothing in it replaces the judgment of you or your veterinarian. Dosage calculators and reminders are aids only. Always confirm medication, dosage, and timing with your veterinarian before acting.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure.
• You're responsible for activity under your account and for people you invite to your farm.
• Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

Your data

You own the records you put into CaprinaeVUE. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. You can export your records, and you can ask us to delete your account and data at any time (see Privacy).

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• break the law or use the service to harm animals, people, or other systems;
• attempt to access other farms' data, probe, or disrupt the service;
• upload malware or content you don't have the right to share;
• resell or sublicense access to the service without our written permission.

Plans and billing

• Plans are based on herd size: Free (up to 5 animals), Standard ($5 per month, up to 50 animals), and Plus ($10 per month, up to 150 animals). Larger herds are arranged directly with us. Every plan includes every feature.
• Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until canceled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• You can cancel at any time in Settings → Plan & Billing. Your plan stays active through the end of the period you've paid for, then returns to Free.
• If your herd goes over your plan's limit, you can keep viewing and editing all of your existing records, but you won't be able to add more animals until you choose a plan that fits. We never lock you out of your own data.
• Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law or where we agree otherwise. Contact us if you were charged in error.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

Availability and changes

We work to keep CaprinaeVUE available and your data safe, but we can't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features. Please keep your own backups of records that matter to you.

Ending your use

You can stop using CaprinaeVUE and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk, and will give notice where we reasonably can.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you and Falkner Systems consent to those courts' jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll tell you by email or in the app. Continuing to use CaprinaeVUE after a change means you accept it.
